Case study
The case
A gas-station operator doesn't run on a single system: there's volumetric control, the fleet, the point of sale, and the tank sensors, each reporting on its own. Central Shield exists to fix that fragmentation, centralizing those sources into one live reporting panel: consumption, real tank inventory, pump status (dispensing, stopped, normal), and price estimates compared against competitors.
Rafael built it at the same time as Bonobo and Gibón, which shaped much of its design: instead of duplicating business logic, Central Shield draws on the same data sources those systems use and on integration with CNE's APIs to determine the state and movement of the business.
The main technical challenge was keeping "live" data — tank inventory, pump status — aggregated from several sources without the reporting panel itself becoming a bottleneck for the platforms it depends on.
